Robert Obando is the patriarch of the wealthy merchant Obando Family of Nueva Aragona (Resistencia in particular). In the [[War for Independence (Nueva Aragona}|War for Independence), he was first a quiet royalist but then switch sides when it seemed that the republic partisans would win in the war.
