In Transylvania, those departed ancestors not properly honored during the [[Week of Rusalii[[ arise as invisible, malignant spirits identical to odems. Once possessed, the victims of the rusalii can only be free through spells such as banishment or dismsissal or a ceremony performed by the Company of the Dance.[1]
