Buried somewhere along the Luna River, there was said to be an ancient portal that led out of Ravenloft. Magda Kulchevich claimed that Kulcheck the Wanderer used it in times long ago. However, it is protected by [[The Gibbering Creature|], an abomination strong enough to kill all of Terlarm's Adventurer Band save for Terlarm and Voldra.[1]
The portal's magic seems to be defunct, as the exit out of the portal's interior chambers only fills with fire upon the guardian's destruction. This happened when both Strahd and Lord Soth tried to exit the portal. Interestingly, Magda discovered among ancient bone piles what seemed to be Gard, the legendary cudgel of her ancestor, Kulcheck.[2]
