Prince Gorkyn Vistin[1], remembered today as Sainted Prince Gorkyn or Saint Gorkyn, Beloved of the Lawgiver by the Nova Vaasans, is recognized in the (potentially entirely or partially false) History of the Vaasi as the one who brought about the Bridling epoch of the Vaasi Timeline. He established the Church of the Lawgiver as state religion of Nyvalg Vaasa. Previously existing as a marginalized faith in old Tygaam, Prince Gorkyn Vistin devotedly enforced its dominance and waged pogroms against believers of other faiths. He halted the Cycle of Stewards and then persuaded Church leaders through "monetary incentive" to back him as Himmelsk Naeve, or "Divine Fist". He also waged the Wars of Conversion upon nearby lands. Although Prince Gorkin's wars only hurt Nyvald Vaasa through draining its coffers, but he did leave a large cultural legacy for Nyvald Vaasa.
