Burgomaster Kartov was the burgomaster of the Village of Barovia at the time of [{Jander Sunstar]]'s arrival in the Land of Mists in 475 BC.[1] Burgomaster Kartov was also the father of Anastasia and Ludmilla.[2] Old Ivan was his valet.[3]


Burgomaster Kartov bore a hatred for Petya, a Vistani whom was romancing Anastasia. When Andrei the Butcher falsely accused Petya of thievery, Burgomaster called for Petya's hanging. Just arrived in the Land of Mists, Jander sent some wolves to break up the lynch mob.
