Clarisse Harrowing is the protagonist of the short story Tales of Ravenloft: The House of a Hundred Windows. She is a former resident of Il Aluk[1], but she now resides in Evenore, where locally she is known as the Lady of Evenore.[2] She is the wife of Lord Gareff Harrowing[3], though he lay currently imprisoned somewhere within it.[2]
Background
Born and raised in Il Aluk into a wealthy merchant family, Clarisse was wed to Lord Gareff Harrowing in an arranged marriage. Bearing no love for her husband, Clarisse lived as a veritable prisoner in Lord Harrowing's manor estate.[4]
Clarisse sought liberation from Domenic as she liberated him, but he was as oppressive as Lord Harrowing. When both men became involved in mortal combat, they both called for Clarisse's support. She refused both and sealed them away in an otherworldly prison.[5]
