The Bowlyn is an invisible, ghost-like creature who haunts ships. It is the angry spirit of a sailor who has returned for vengeance.[1]
The Bowlyn acts like a poltergeist, staging accidents and wreaking havoc on the ship. It can stay invisible or manifest itself visibly as it so chooses.
