A character from the short story Tales of Ravenloft:The Rigor of the Game, Unthar was the large and brutish bouncer of the Iron Warden tavern and stickman of its gambling. Unthar was unusual for his abnormally large head (twice that of a normal human). He briefly worked under the employ of Tisiphone, whom won ownership of the Iron Warden tavern and unwittingly with it the title of the Warden of the Iron Hills, which usually ended fatally for the title bearer. Tisophone managed to pass off the deed of the inn to Oliver Arkwright, but both Unthar and Tisophone failed to get out before Lord Soth came in to conscript Oliver for the job. Oliver managed to put off becoming the Warden of the Iron Hills through a technicality, so Soth sent Tisophone and Unthar in his place. They both most likely died in the ensuing weeks.[1]
