The hopeful are members of the Ildi'Thaan that aspire to gain but do not currently possess psionic wild talents. Although theoretically equal in power with the echelon (those who have wild talents), the hopeful are in practice given less privileges and autonomy. The hopeful are not allowed inside Irkat Thaan.[1]
