The giant rat, also called the dire rat in 3rd Edition,[1], is a larger version of its normal kindred.
Giant rats appear when the borders of Richemulot close[2][3]. They can be frequenntly encountered across many domains including the following: Barovia[4], Darkon[5],, Dementlieu[6], Falkovnia[7] Forlorn[8], Hazlan[9], Invidia[10], Kartakass[11], Mordent[12], Nova Vaasa[13], Nova Vaasa[14], Odiare[15], the Shadow Rift[16], and Sithicus[17].
They are all too frequently encountered in the domain of Nosos.[18]
