In Curse of Strahd, the bones of St. Andral comprise a holy relic that protected St. Andral's Church in Vallaki from the depredations of Strahd's minions as per a Hallow spell. They bestowed this protection as long as they were buried in St. Andral's crypt on the premises of the church. Unfortunately, they were stolen by Milivoj on behalf of Henrik van der Voort as part of Strahd's plan to attack the church. Only when put back will the church be protected again.[1]
