In 2nd Edition, the three character classes of fighter, ranger, and paladin were considered all parts of a larger group of classes called warriors. This should not be confused with the 3rd Edition NPC Class warrior. 2nd Edition sources may refer to characters as warriors, but this does not refer to said 3e NPC class.[1]
