Jory Penhallow

A minor character from Heaven's Bones, Jory Penhallow was one of the Penhallow family of St. Agnes. He found the dying Vistani Jaelle Vadoma and brought her back to his stone cottage to receive first aid. When Jaelle awoke, she predicted a collapse of the Weald Hole mine and said not to send any of Jory's relatives down there. Mistress Penhallow heeded her prediction spread word to the rest of St. Agnes, which prevented any loss of the town's inhabitants in the collapse that day. Mistress Penhallow also commanded her son to get rid of the knife Jory found on Jaelle. However, he couldn't bring him to abandon something potentially of value, so he stowed it away inside a drawyer, where it was found many years later by a young Artemis Donovan and Dirk Penhallow.

Jory eventually married Jaelle and they sired many descendants, collectively known as Jaelle's Breed. Jory Penhallow went on to live the rest of his life with Jaelle.
