Sadie was a slave to Dr. Alistair Weldon and his family on the Riverbend plantation in Alabama. She works as a house slave and a maid. Sadie was very good friends, almost like sisters to Frances Weldon. One day Sadie tried to escape captivity, but she was caught an [murdered]]. Her body was eventually buried allowing her to pass to the afterlife. However, she appeared as a spirit once to Frances' ghost and told her the reason little Weldon hadn't passed on too is that her bones were never located, having been stolen by foxes after the fire that consumed the plantation.[1]
