Tsar Nikolai Ivanovich, also known as Nikolai the Terrible, is the ruler and darklord of a domain where the humans and fey are at war (or perhaps more properly, the tsar has launched a pogrom of persecution and extermination against the fairy folk and other creatures of magic.) Through this pogrom and his tyrannical rule, Ivanovich has transformed his realm into a bleak terrible place.
