The Shogul is a cabal of seven 7 shadowy beings (or perhaps one consciousness with seven separate bodies) that serve as the collective darklords over a mysterious and strange domain modeled after China with Lovecraftian influence. Though they are mighty wu jen in their own right, their reach extends beyond their domain in that a wizard whom knows the right methods can peek inside their connections linking their minds and learn some of their secrets. However, this knowledge comes at a price, for the Shogul gain more power over such pursuers of forbidden lore. The Shogul's true natures remain a mystery, and their bodies are entirely obscured robes save for their eyes.[1]
