Originally created as a fortified outpost to protect against hostile barbarian tribes from the west but more recently reinforced to serve as a bulwark against Falkovnia, Tamrivena is a large town in Ustalav, technically belonging to the Palatinate of Vieland but sometimes thought to be part of Canterwall. The town watch, the Wallguard, has a reputation similar to that of Mordent's Lamplighters. However, fear of invasion and external threats has given the watch so much power it lords over the town's people. Consequently, the law of Tamrivena is quite harsh and restrictive in the name of security and morality.[1]
