The Second Judgement is the Church of the Lawgiver's explanation for why Nova Vaasa was drawn into the Land of Mists. According to the theology of the Church, Nova Vaasa was torn from its homeworld as the Lawgiver's punishment for the Nova Vaasan people's slide into hubris and moral degeneration. The Barovian Calendar dates the arrival of Nova Vaasa into the Land of Mists to the year 682 BC.[1]
