The Hestdrikker (horse-drinker) is alleged to be a nocturnal fey that feeds on the blood of horses sickening or even killing them. This is in fact true as far as it goes, but fails to expose the connection that exists between the creature and the jermlaine. Hestdrikkers are diseased, outcast jermlaine, driven feral and blood-thirsty by the sickness in their veins. Worse yet, the sickness can be transferred to the horses the jermlaine feed from, making them mad and dangerous.
