Gagg Shinbreaker was a shaman of the orc tribe of Bloodhands. After the Bloodhand tribe was drawn into the Demiplane of Dread, Gagg became dissatisfied with the leadership of Larga Bloodhand and led a breakaway faction that attempted to sacrifice Sybil Raisa and Ixusaxa Terrorsong to Gruumsh.[1]

Gagg Shinbreaker was a priest of Gruumsh and one of three shamans serving under Larga Bloodhand. Fortunes went bad for the Bloodhands when Larga was kidnapped by yuan-ti. To make matters worse, the Bloodhands and much of the surounding land was swallowed by the Mists and brought into Barovia. Although Gagg made a claim for her title in her absence. Although Larga was eventually liberated, Gagg came to believe that the tribe's relocation to this strange land was Gruumsh's punishment for a great transgression.[2]
