Splinterwaifs are malevolent fey with bark-like skin, spiky hair, and long tongues. Unusually for fey, they reside in urban centers, particularly in places where there is an abundance of wood and children. They manipulate and hide among the former, and the latter are their favored prey. Their ability for camouflage allows them to be experts in stealth.[1]
Spinterwaifs have various strange powers, such as spitting wood shards, calling forth living brambles from wood, and transforming people into bushes. They particularly relish performing this transformation on children.[1]
