Not to be confused with the powrie, redcaps are sadistic sylvan fey that grow more powerful through murder by dipping their caps in the blood of their victims. Redcaps appear as short, elderly folk with wiry but strong and tough builds. Their teeth notably stick out.[1]

Descriptive Text

Young Donal stepped forward and said, "Me and mine have long had good dealings with the Fair Folk, and you are trespassing..."

But as he spoke the mannikin threw back its head and laughed. "So yer the young laird, is't? Well, me lad, whatever bargain ye may have struck with the Shadies is nothin' to me, for we're not of their kind, nor bound by their laws. But I'll be glad to see the bluid of a laird on me scythe, for it would be a fine thing to be known as Bluecap!"

It whirled the scythe it held about it as it spoke, and at the last word it charged, quick as a dragonfly and agile as a cat.
