Located in the Malachite Palace, the Gilded Throne is the throne of Queen Maeve. Any other individual whom foolishly sits upon is afflicted by a paralysis only removable by dispel magic or similar effects. Sitting upon the throne is considered an act of treason calling for the punishment of exile (in the case of an Arak sitter) or death.[1]
