The somnos plant is poisonous plant that lives only Darkon and in particular still and dirty pools in the proximity of Darkon's rivers. Green berries hang from the plants fragile, sagging branches; these berries act as both a narcotic drug and a poison that can cause unconsciousness, as can the wine made from the berries^[1]. According to Van Richten's Guide to the Shadow Fey (Item), the branch of the somnos plant can act as a a bane against the muryan^[2] and at least some sith ^[3].
