Rotwald is a large town located within Valachan. It is the biggest community in Valachan in terms of population, and it is somewhat removed Castle Pantara in terms of proximity. By "S"s recogning, these factors mave given the people of Rotwald a reduced sense of vulnerability, which has historically led to armed resistance and rebellion to the rule of Baron Urik von Kharkov. Because Rotwald locals don't show a breach of the typical Valachani stoic endurance, some rumor has been spreading that angry ghosts from Rotwald's bloody past or contaminated drinking water from the Gold River are to blame. In truth, it is the witches of Hala and the Tales of Ages that has been responsible; they have secretly been using it to periodically dispel Von Kharkov's mind control. For his part, Von Kharkov makes sure to keep a heightened number of Black Leopards there to guard the mint there.[1]
