Claudia DeShanes was a psychic and assistant to Dr. Rudolph van Richten. She was killed by Merilee Markuza^[1] and is now a ghost, trapped in Richten Haus by Madame Radanavich. In death, she has become hateful and jealous of the living for still having life while she is dead.^[2]

She was originally found in Sanguinia by Arametrius, who introduced her to Dr. van Richten.^[3]^[4] Among her deeds in assisting Rudolph van Richten, she worked with the doctor, Geddar Ironheart, Alannthir, Belinderissa, and Jameld of Hroth to hunt the ancient dead.^[5] However, she aided Dr. van Richten for only slightly longer than one year before dying in Lamordia.^[4]
