Tanner Edmund Jacobbi was a monk and lighthouse attendant who lived on an island off of the coast of New England. After he fell asleep on watch, a British ship crashed on the island's shore, causing the gunpowder it was carrying to ignite and cause the whole island to burn, including Tanner's monastery. He perished in the flames, and the Red Death brought him back as a heucuva. Although not evil in life, he has been cursed to lure sailors to their doom in death.[1]
