Walter Denhardt was once an officer of the Falkovnian Army. He used his position in logistics to subtly undermine the army, and he was subtle enough that he never got caught. When the Shadow Insurrection came to the village where Denhardt was stationed, he was ready to abandon his post.[1]
The Knights of the Shadows brought Denhardt to Nidala, where he joined the Army of Nidala. He continues to handle logistics, but he also serves as a trainer. Gondegal considers him a sterling example of an individual's ability to resist tyranny.[1]
