An ancient structure of unknown manufacture located in Kirchenheim, this chapel was abandoned before the Grabenites arrived on Graben Island.[1] Jean-Marcel l’Voy, an anchorite of the Dementlieuse Sect, has visited the island to study it.[2]

The Black Chapel was actually inhabited by monastic priests that lived there prior to the Anatal conquest of Graben Island centuries ago in the (false?) history of Graben Island. Although the monastics conjured and left the Flayed Rider behind, Svidi Full-Sails and his men ousted the clergy and established a colony on Graben Island in the mid-300s BC. (Swidi's colony would meet its end about century later thanks to disease.)[2]

Despite its ancient construction, the Chapel remains sturdy, being the only structure in Graben Island that was not significantly damaged in the Big Storm. Made of slate stone, its walls and ceilings were unfazed by weather.[3]
