Rose was paladin that was captured by Azalin, polymorphed into a simple dairy cow, and locked into the Room of Alteration in Castle Avernus with several others (including Coryn, Slippery Siv, and Milarn). 
Rose may have been found by adventurers in 740 who were on their way to inadvertently beginning the Grand Conjunction. If rescued, she would have gladly joined in their efforts, however it is unlikely that Azalin would have let her leave Castle Avernus alive.
