Peace's Pin is a cursed decorative hatpin, created by a Barovian enchantress named Peace who specialized in love potions and charms. She grew paranoid about the possibility of such influences being used against her, and created the pin as a powerful ward against magical seduction and manipulation.
Curse
Peace's fate--love, passion, jealousy, paranoia, and multiple murder--has been repeated by every person who possessed the pin. Whether the curse was crafted into the item during creation or arose from her subsequent crimes is unknown.
Powers
The powers of the pin are complete immunity to enchantment/charm spells. Unknown to Peace, this does not apply to spell-like or supernatural abilities. This flaw is not immediately apparent.
History
After leaving a wake of multiple murders, the pin eventually found its way to the Black Vault, where it was believed destroyed by Rudolph van Richten and associates. Instead, it was pocketed by one of the group and given to his lover, who eventually murdered him and her own sister out of jealousy. It drew the attention of the Guardians, but before they could lock it up, a servant of Vecna stole it and delivered it to him.
