Professor Pacali

Professor Pacali was formerly a professor of abnormal physiology at the Brautslava Institute in Darkon. His research interests brought him to the Carnival with the intention of studying its freaks. He soon fell victim to the twisting, which cursed him to continually spawn the pickled punks, and by the time he discovered that its effects are reversible, it was already too late for him. The nature of his twisting did not oblige him to renounce his post at the Brautslave Institute, but he nevertheless appears to have done so, driven by an overwelming sense of embarassment and an obsessive desire to cure the twisting and extinguish its source.

Professor Pacali currently travels as a member of Carnival, but makes regular trips home to Darkon to birth his Pickled Punks.

The professor, at the instigation of the Gentleman Caller, is destined at some point to attempt to weild the spell mystick cage against Isolde. This will visit a bout of uncontrolled twisting upon those in the immediate vicinity. The spell is actually beyond his capacity to learn and memorise, so presumably it will be cast from a scroll provide to him by the demon.
