Giants are mortal creatures that eat, drink and sleep. They are thoroughly dependent on chemical energy, overwelmingly derived from other living creatures, principally plants and animals. Biology does not recognise the giant type as such. Members of this type admit of study by the intripid biologist as instances of abnormal anatomy and abnormal physiology. Giants are a cause of concern for druids, rangers, and others in the wild. The Knowledge (nature) skill may yield knowledge concerning giants.
