Capacity and incapacity are a pair that define life. Life is doing within limits and is being unable to do within limits. A man does what he is not incapable of. A man does not do what he is incapable of. It is only the omnipotent that do what they want, that are pure capacity, that have no limits, that are the negation of incapacity, that have nothing that they cannot do.
More broadly, the pair also define animation, as with a construct, and undeath, as with a zombie.
