The undertaker of Il Aluk is an official position. It was held by Amo Pesadilla from at least 697 BC and passed to Marasyk Huzak in 749 BC or 750 BC. The position entails responsiblity for the Great Cemetery in particuar, although other cemeteries in Il Aluk or even beyond might fall within its remit. Putting an end to grave robbing (and the resurrectionists who effect it) seems to be a principle task of the job. Putting the Undead back permanently into their graves is a preoccupation of the current undertaker who has himself come to be counted among the Slain.
