Intoxication results from the consumption of alcohol or a drug such as opium, both of which are, strictly speaking, poison. The degree of intoxication varies. An intoxicated individual may be incapacitated, only impaired, or only on the frontier of being impaired. Whereas someone who is drunk is at least impaired. Intoxication may be ended with a neutralize poison spell.
