A Bastellus is an incorporeal undead that can invade dreams. They are rarely seen as they only show themselves in the presence of a sleeping person, and their cowardly nature.
The Bastellus is drawn to creative, energetic, or extroverted personalities. They "feed" off this person's dreams, to their detriment. Like a vampire, this can result in the creation of another bastellus but due to the new undead spirit's need to "feast" on dreams before the sunrise after its burial, this is rare.
