The Book of Kings is a book the size of a coffin: 3'x5'x2'. The title on the cover can only be read using magic, but the contents can be read by anyone literate in at least one language. The book radiates strong Divination magic, and contains complete information on every ruler who was or is, even darklords. The reader must think of a given ruler to turn to the correct page, but if the ruler is in fact a puppet or figurehead of another, the page is blank. The work is to be found in the Secret Library of Vecna.
