Former Inhabitants of Necropolis consist overwhelmingly of the Slain who are destroyed or who quit Necropolis for elsewhere, principally either in flight from the rule of Death or for the convenience of being nearer their living prey. Other creatures, including those already undead, who did not linger long in the wake of Requiem are former inhabitants of Il Aluk or of its suburbs, but are not former inhabitants of Necropolis.
