After these deaths, Sarah Winchester grew obsessed with contacting them from the grave, hiring mediums to conduct seances. A Vistani eventually told Sara that she was cursed by the ghosts of those who died by her husband's firearms. She could only delay her fate by eternally building the Winchester House to confuse and elude the spirits that dogged her.
