-[[Alec's harpies]] are another race of unnaturally created abominations made by [[Alec Lawrence]] and the [[Brotherhood of Mortis]].  Unlike real [[harpies]] (which [[Alec doesn't know exists), Alec's harpies can only attack with a bite, and their singing causes fear instead of the usual enthrallment. The harpy is created from the body of a human (preserved via an embalm spell) and a bat (made large enough via the enlarge spell), injected with a regenerative virus, and then made animate with electrical stimulation.<ref>[[Book of Sorrows]] p.20-21</ref>
