Jacob Garvin was the father of the Garvin Family. He was a farmer who lived near Valden in Mordent. He was married to his wife Matilda Garvin and had two children, Dead Garvin and Betty Garvin. [1]
Jacob's obsessed xenophobia caused him to create the Jacob Garvin Scarecrow in order to keep trespassers away. However, it eventually killed the entire Garvin Family save for Betty.[2]
