The Path of Corruption followed by the scholar Mu[1] from Gothic Earth, now trapped in the Demiplane of Dread.

Its steps are:

  • 1. Fatal manicure. Mu gains a claw attack that deals 1d3 + Str. damage.
    • Mu's fingernails retain an eternally flawless manicure when she is among other people, but become black claws when she is alone.
    • Mu has developed a minor obsession with painting her nails and wearing gloves out of fear that this will be seen.
  • 2. Dance of Temptation. Mu gains the feat Dance of Kindled Desires (Blood of Fiends) as a bonus feat.
    • Every time Mu uses her Flight Hex, she sprouts a pair of pale, demonic wings that remain with her for a number of days equal to the number of rounds she remained in flight. Mu mostly manages to disguise the wings as a cloak.
    • Mu has become fearful that she is changing into something monstrous or that her soul is in danger of falling into Hell due to her transgressions, and is afraid to fly except under the most pressing circumstances.
  • 3. Fiendish beauty. (current stage) Mu's natural beauty is enhanced to an unnatural degree, and she gains a substantial bonus to her Charisma score.
    • People who interact with Mu, can see her beauty and feel attracted to it, perceive seduction where none exists. People attracted to Mu must make a Sense motive check against her passive Bluff score (which is enhanced by the aforementioned boost to Charisma), or they become convinced the interest and any romantic or sexual desire they might feel is mutual.
    • Mu has become even more phobic of interpersonal relations, and frequently wears disguises and hooded robes in order to avoid 'misunderstandings'.
  • 4. Succubus' Kiss: Mu gains a bite attack that deals 1d8 + Str. damage. Twice a day, when using this bite attack, Mu can inflict the effects of Vampiric touch on the creature she is biting.
    • Mu's teeth have permanently changed to include sharp fangs instead of human eye-teeth, giving her OR +1 if these are seen. Mu must imbibe a pint of fresh humanoid blood from a once every seven days, or else she becomes sickened (no save) until she does. The blood need not be drawn from a single source, nor in a single sitting.
    • By this point, Mu is in a near-constant state of panic and self-loathing. She tries to cut off all contact with others, only for the Hunger to drive her to seek out blood one way or another.
  • 5. ??
  • 6. Mu gains the Half-Fiend template. Her appearance is flawless and can not be permanently marred in any way; physical damage heals at an accelerated pace and her physical ageing process has been effectively halted.
    • Mu can not disguise herself by natural or magical means. Spells dissipate; cosmetics evaporate; cloth rots, until her beauty and fiendish traits both are clearly visible.
    • Now fully as terrified of herself as she is of others, Mu must pass Will saves not to blindly flee or viciously attack strangers on sight.
