There is one known electromagnetic device in the Land of Mists: the lightning box. It is possible that its inventor, Dr. Victor Mordenheim, has applied in other devices the principles of magnetic induction either to create electricity or to use existing electricity to do work of some sort. (The pump of the life support system of the Living Brain is not one unless the vat bound creature psionically creates electricity to power it). Faith Hold features a lightning harvesting system that is used to power engines, but their nature, whether mechanical or electromagnetical is unknown. Easan the Mad also collects electrical energy for storage in what are presumably alchemical batteries for eventual use as power for some of his inventions. But it is again not clear that their nature is electromagnetic rather than magical.
