Home to a diffuse number of ecosystems, the Hungry Mountains are a range of mountains in Ustalav that forms the southern border of the counties of Ardeal and Virlych. It cuts the domain in half at one point. Along the mountains' eastern edge lies the county of Versex.[1] It eventually winds down into Caliphas.[2]
Several old keeps and monasteries, and watchtowers are interspersed among the mountains (with one such structure being the Monastery of the Veil.) The Hungry Mountains are named for the avalanches and other dangers that may claim the lives of the unwary.[1] Beneath the mountains lies a massive warren of ghoul tunnels known as the Kingdom of the Ghouls.[3]
