The Overseer
Purportedly a deity of Law and Good, the Overseer is a figure venerated by the Faith of the Overseer. In reality, the Overseer is a complete fabrication, and the Overseer's church is merely a facade for Kargat activity.[1] True to the faith's nature, the Overseer does not grant any form of divine magic, for such things are said to be instruments of fear and oppression. The Overseer is all-seeing, but grants his rewards in the hereafter beyond death. In the mortal world, people must help one another.[2]
Although the Overseer is a complete fiction, the strange metaphysics of the Demiplane of Dread may mean that, as the Faith spreads out of the Kargat's sphere of influence, clerics or paladins whom follow his worship may manifest powers in genuine worship of his ideals, according to the Blind Eye dread possibility.[3]
