Originally created by demons to cause death and destruction on the Material Plane, necronauts are towering abominations made of corpses upon corpses. They have the ability to assimilate more corpses into their bodies, an ability that ironically makes them take damage from necromantic spells that might otherwise animate their component parts, such as animate dead, create undead, and create greater undead.^[1]
