Silver-Mercurium

This section contains canon info from officially published sources |
Silver-mercurium is a potent poison that can be especially dangerous to werebeasts or living other creatures harmed by silver. It is delivered with a blade or in food or drink. A drink poisoned with it acquires a slightly oily appearance and a metallic smell, both bearly noticeable however. When a blade is used the weapon is treated as though it were of silver for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. This poison is prepared with alchemy. It was available, at least for a time and at least to Madame Araby Tuvache, from an alchemist in Pont-a-Museau. It is difficult, however, imagining that its availibility would long pass unmarked by Jacqueline Renier and it is even more difficult imagining that its maker would be long for this life, although conceivably under the control of Jacqueline or of one of her rivals the individual's death sentence might be suspended for a time.
