A corpse is a body, typically of a human or humanoid, from which the life has fled in the not distant past, which is to stipulate that the body needs to be more than a mere skeleton. Corpses are much sought after by university medical departments, medical researchers, necromancers, and flesh golemcrafters, as well as by ghouls. A corpse may walk again by being granted unlife. Generally, the flesh of a corpse granted unlife as a zombie or other walking undead ceases to disintegrate, such that the creature does not, in the end, resemble a skeleton.
