The Forrows is a stretch of borderlands between the counties of Ustalav called Ardeal and Varno. Formerly known as the Dragosvet Plains, the Forrows was turned into a trench filled wasteland by the War Without Rivals of 734 BC to 738 BC. The war began when the county of Ustalav called Varno made a land grab for it when the land technically belonged to Ardeal, so Varno's efforts caused the War Without Rivlals. The war wore on for four years, ending with the Dragosvet Plains turning in a trench-filled wasteland now called the Furrows. The whole matter left both Varno and Ardeal simmering with lingering resentment towards each other.[1]
